A bonus is a clause, not a gift
Four conditions account for most confiscated winnings: a maximum stake cap while a bonus is active, excluded or restricted games, an expiry date, and requesting a withdrawal before the condition has been met. Hungary: the regulator's remit and its edge
Gambling in Hungary is supervised by SZTFH, which maintains a public register of licensed operators and acts against sites working without a Hungarian permit, including restricting access to them. The domestic online market was effectively closed for years and opened to licence applications in 2023.
The consequence matters more than the history. If an operator is absent from the Hungarian register, that authority will not run an individual money claim on a player's behalf — its remit covers market supervision and access restriction.
